IND-AGRO-POL competitiveness pole (cluster) has taken upon itself the mission of stimulating innovation and collaboration in the sector of technical equipments construction for agriculture and food industry and in related sectors (bio-economy, renewable energy, environment and climate changes, eco-technologies and advanced materials, information technology and communications), in order to strengthen the competitiveness and sustainable development of these sectors, regional development and inteligent growth, sustainable and favorable to social inclusion.
Its managing institution (cluster organization), IND-AGRO-POL Association (NGO), www.inma.ro/indagropol, has undertaken the role of generating the national competitiveness pole in the field of technical equipment for agriculture and food industry, joining actors from cross-cutting sectors and value chains such as: bio-economy, renewable energy, environment and climate changes, eco-technologies, advanced materials, information technology and communications. IND-AGRO-POL Association has now 31 members, including INMA – National Institute for Research-Development of Technical Equipment designed to Agriculture and Food Industry (www.inma.ro) as founder member.
As a result, IND-AGRO-POL competitiveness pole was established in 2011 and has now 81 members out of which 48 enterprises and business associations, 17 R&D institutions and universities, 2 public authorities and 14 catalyst institutions. To be noticed that the structure of the pole reflects the Romanian “four leaves clover” cluster model. It gathers ~25% of the employees in Romanian manufacturing of agricultural and food industry technical equipment.
Sector of activity: Technologies and technical equipment for agriculture and food industry and cross-cutting sectors: bio-economy, renewable energy, environment and climate changes, eco-technologies and advanced materials, information technology and communications.
Cluster strengths: stimulating innovation and collaboration in the main sector and in cross-cutting ones, in order to consolidate the competitiveness and the sustainable development of these economic sectors, the regional development and the smart, sustainable and socially inclusive growth. Since January 2015 IND-AGRO-POL is a silver label cluster.

Participation objectives: Looking for partnerships in EU and international RDI and technological projects. IND-AGRO-POL is open to cross-sectoral collaboration with other clusters or/and companies, universities, research organizations, TTOs, in RDI and technological projects, like Horizon 2020, Cosme, Eureka, Erasmus Plus, Interreg Europe, Danube Programme etc.
